i want a goat in my backyard

i have become even more aware of the properties of foods ever since i had my little one. i am breastfeeding her and while this is great in so many ways, it means i have to be aware of what i put in my mouth. she eats what i eat. and we have discovered that she's a gassy, spittin-up fool if i am not careful. she does not like lindt dark chocolate with intense mint. MAN! and she will not allow me to eat cheese. or yogurt. these are all cows milk products, obviously.

BUT i have discovered, to my delight that i can drink goats milk. i get it fresh from a friend here in town and it is absolutely, beyond the shadow of a doubt the most yummy thing i have put in my mouth since i had her.

jeremy & i made shakes lastnight. recipe below:

**
25 ounces fresh goat milk
2 frozen banans
1/2 c peanut butter
4 tbsp cocoa powder, dutch process
1 big dollup of honey
3 tsp flax oil
1 good hearty blending

**

flax oil makes everything taste better. why? cuz it's oil! and plant oil or animal fat inhances the flavor of everything. it gives it that thick consistancy of a milk shake without the impossibly large fat globules that come from a cow.

btw->if any of you out there are still convinced that low-fat is healthy, please read this. let me know if you have any questions. it's kinda thick. no pun intended.
